{"id":60,"date":"2014-07-08T06:57:00","date_gmt":"2014-07-08T11:57:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogtest.cowebtech.ca\/?p=60"},"modified":"2019-10-03T08:51:02","modified_gmt":"2019-10-03T13:51:02","slug":"turkish-coffee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.cowell.ca\/?p=60","title":{"rendered":"Turkish coffee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m a pretty big fan of coffee, especially when I can get good coffee, which was difficult in Asia. &nbsp;However, in Turkey coffee is pretty unique.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Turkish coffee is a method of <i>preparing <\/i>the coffee, the actual beans are the same as any other coffee. The beans are finely ground and then boiled in a pot. &nbsp;When it is served in a cup, the grounds settle on the bottom. &nbsp;If it is done well, it can be very good. &nbsp;If it&#8217;s not done well, you get bad coffee!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Most interesting though is what comes with it. &nbsp;Must places serve it with a biscuit, a biscotti, or a piece of Turkish delight. &nbsp;The restaurant last night had a bit of a different spin on it.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/-4EVONawgwVo\/U7uWcNHjZiI\/AAAAAAAAHZk\/PUKCuvnVyAk\/s1600\/blogger-image-626755162.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/-4EVONawgwVo\/U7uWcNHjZiI\/AAAAAAAAHZk\/PUKCuvnVyAk\/s1600\/blogger-image-626755162.jpg\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\">The coffee is in the top left hand side of the picture. &nbsp;The chocolate is from Belgium. &nbsp;They sliced off pieces of chocolate at the table.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\">The restaurant was called <b>%100 Restaurant<\/b> and is right on the waterfront in Izmir. &nbsp;It&#8217;s certainly not the cheapest place I have eaten at in Turkey, but the food and service were very good. &nbsp;They have nice views of Izmir and the bay with lots of seats outside.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\">\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/-8onzhJa6grI\/U7uXBWIi9jI\/AAAAAAAAHZw\/boR_jWFD8UE\/s1600\/blogger-image--208394677.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/-8onzhJa6grI\/U7uXBWIi9jI\/AAAAAAAAHZw\/boR_jWFD8UE\/s1600\/blogger-image--208394677.jpg\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n<p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m a pretty big fan of coffee, especially when I can get good coffee, which was difficult in Asia. &nbsp;However, in Turkey coffee is pretty unique.
