{"id":127,"date":"2014-04-16T05:08:00","date_gmt":"2014-04-16T10:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogtest.cowebtech.ca\/?p=127"},"modified":"2019-10-02T14:41:20","modified_gmt":"2019-10-02T19:41:20","slug":"taipei-and-eva-air","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.cowell.ca\/?p=127","title":{"rendered":"Taipei (and EVA Air)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My flight from YYZ -&gt; TPE arrived on time at 05:00 this morning.&nbsp; I think I did pretty well, considering I got about 8 hours of sleep, but I am now starting to feel the jetlag a bit.<\/p>\n<p>The EVA flight was awesome.&nbsp; Hands down the best flight I have ever been on.&nbsp; The food was great and the fully flat bed in business class made it easy to sleep.&nbsp; They did serve Dom Perignon&nbsp;champagne which was a nice touch.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/blogtest.cowebtech.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_20140415_013001-768x1024.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/blogtest.cowebtech.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_20140415_013001-768x1024.jpg\" height=\"320\" width=\"240\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>\nTaipei feels very warm to me.&nbsp; It was 20 degrees with I got to downtown at around 6:30am this morning.&nbsp; Considering my phone gave Ottawa as -5, I guess there was a big difference.&nbsp; The problem with getting somewhere at 5:00am is that nowhere is open.&nbsp; At 6:30 all I could find were coffee shops, so at least I could get coffee!<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/blogtest.cowebtech.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_20140416_074937-1024x768.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/blogtest.cowebtech.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/IMG_20140416_074937-1024x768.jpg\" height=\"240\" width=\"320\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>\nChiang Memorial opened by 9am with the changing of the guards (um, the arriving of the guards).&nbsp; Before that there were just a&nbsp;lot of people doing tai chi around it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My flight from YYZ -&gt; TPE arrived on time at 05:00 this morning.&nbsp; I think I did pretty well, considering I got about 8 hours of sleep, but I am now starting to feel the jetlag a bit.
