{"id":102,"date":"2014-05-21T00:27:00","date_gmt":"2014-05-21T05:27:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogtest.cowebtech.ca\/?p=102"},"modified":"2019-10-02T14:39:51","modified_gmt":"2019-10-02T19:39:51","slug":"kyoto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.cowell.ca\/?p=102","title":{"rendered":"Kyoto"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span style=\"font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;\">I flew from Manila into Kansai airport which serves this region, including Osaka and Kyoto. &nbsp;It is very well connected by train. &nbsp;It look less than 40 minutes to get through the airport, pick up a rail pass, and get on the train for the city. &nbsp;The airport, like most things I find in Japan, is very efficient.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/-TxPQK0w5GTM\/U3vy4ATti4I\/AAAAAAAAF7E\/TrJumKtY41g\/s1600\/blogger-image-1241000728.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/-TxPQK0w5GTM\/U3vy4ATti4I\/AAAAAAAAF7E\/TrJumKtY41g\/s1600\/blogger-image-1241000728.jpg\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\">The main train station is gigantic and has shops and a food court on the 11th floor with a great view. &nbsp;This is the Kyoto tower. &nbsp;From here it was a 10 minute walk to the hostel, but of course I managed to get lost. &nbsp;It was pretty late in the evening, but I was approached my a helpful local and given directions. &nbsp;This was quite reassuring coming from Manila!<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\">Kyoto has so many UNESCO world heritage sights that I don&#8217;t stand a chance of seeing them all on this brief 5 day visit to the city. &nbsp;I have tried to pick a selection of them while also taking the time to wonder around the city.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\">\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/-cKd64626Hs8\/U3vy28Gi6vI\/AAAAAAAAF68\/AK2BIIXed4g\/s1600\/blogger-image--1026001550.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/-cKd64626Hs8\/U3vy28Gi6vI\/AAAAAAAAF68\/AK2BIIXed4g\/s1600\/blogger-image--1026001550.jpg\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\">This is Fushimi Inari. &nbsp;It&#8217;s hard to believe that this is in such a large city.
